How to Study the Bible (BS-201)

This course is an introduction to the principles and practices of the inductive and analytical methods of Bible study involving the steps of observation, interpretation, and application. Principles in these steps are applied to various biblical books and passages.  The student is also introduced to basic elements of English grammar and word studies and guided through a structural analysis of the book Colossians.

  • Provide students a deeper knowledge and better understanding of how to study the Scriptures
  • Enable students to experience a deeper meaning of the contents and contexts of Scripture
  • Enable students to better relate the truth of Scripture to his/her life
  • Teach the student that there are various ways to study Scriptures
  • Prepare students for Christian leadership and ministry
